How Kybella Treatment Works

Curious about the science behind a sculpted jawline? Let's break down the transformative process of Kybella at Aesthetics and Body Lab

Deoxycholic Acid Injection: Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment containing synthetic deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body.

  • Fat Cell Breakdown: Deoxycholic acid plays a key role in breaking down and absorbing dietary fat. When injected beneath the chin, it targets and disrupts the membranes of fat cells.

  • Natural Fat Absorption: Once disrupted, the fat cells release their contents, which are then naturally processed and eliminated by the body's metabolic systems.

  • Precision Targeting: Skilled practitioners at Aesthetics and Body Lab use their expertise to administer Kybella injections precisely, ensuring a targeted reduction of excess fat beneath the chin.

  • Personalized Contouring: A personalized contouring experience enhances facial harmony, providing a more sculpted and refined jawline.

  • Before we can begin treatment for double chin reduction, you will need to schedule a consultation with our cosmetic treatment provider. At this appointment, your medical history will be reviewed to make sure you do not have any health issues.

Your chin area will be examined and your treatment goals discussed.

If we determine together that you are a good candidate for Kybella, you can choose to have the procedure the same day or schedule a time to come back.

Patients typically require multiple treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart. The number of treatments will be determined at the time of your evaluation.

Each treatment entails multiple small injections under the chin into the fat layer.

Each treatment lasts about 15 to 25 minutes. .
